Quality food. Very friendly staff. Prices are very appealing. Both my husband and I enjoyed the restaurant.

Absolutely terrible customer service for phone ordering. These people act like they are the only Chinese restaurant for 50 miles and will not make reasonable modifications to existing menu items. I would give a 1-star but their in-person service is acceptable.

IMHO I have no ax to grind with China Star. This is my first time ordering from them tonight. I've eaten plenty of Chinese food from all over the U.S. and I am generous with this rating. 1 star for speed and one for quantity but keep your money in your pocket because it is where it belongs. The gold standard for a chinese restaurant is their fried rice. Easily comparable across the board. This fried rice was nearly inedible: burnt, smoky and dry. No more stars because of the lack of food quality for this order. IMHO.

Mongolian Beef and China Star Lo Mein are our go to choices. The thick, fluffy potstickers are a great way to start off. Service is always good and take out is quick and easy.

Food is pretty consistently good here. Not the best I've ever had, but reasonably priced and a good portion.

Great hot and sour soup, not just the canned soup at many places. Plus, they make their own hot mustard which is a sign of good cooking.

This is THE go to spot for Chinese food in the Duluth area.Decor is reasonable. No ugly fish watching you eat. I seem to get the same waitress each time I go. Very bubbly happy young lady. Efficient, effective. The food is always how I like it. The perfect amount of spice. Price is very reasonable.Yes. Go here. Stay away from the buffets. The quality at China Star outshines the competition.

Food is good - quality ingredients and care in the preparation. Was part of a large party and the server was extremely efficient. Got an order of delicious cream cheese wontons to go and was amazed at how fast they were done

Thought I'd try a different Chinese place for once and boy do I regret it! Kung Pao Chicken wasn't good nor spicy at all. Their Lo mein noodles wasn't even lo mein noodles!!! Looks like ramen noodles were used!! Never again am I going there!

The food didn't taste good at all (szechuan chicken, vegetable lo mein)Wish I could get refunded because I ate maybe 2 bites.

Went to this place for the first time last night and it was excellent. Shrimp Egg Foo Young was perfect as was the Honey Chicken. Very tasty and not salty. Great service. The hot tea was great too! We will be back!

Love the food! I am one of those hated people that get there order customized and everytime I have gotten it the staff there have been great and the food comes out exactly as I ordered and I thank you for that. After working in the food industry I wven hate people like me but they are always awesome l.

Chins Star egg rolls are great.The sauces are too sweet and thick.Much of the same flavors in several dishes.

Ewwwww.... Old and outdated dining area and building. Food was GROSS and unlike ANY Chinese food I've ever had. The ONLY good thing was the young waitress. She was so nice and friendly (she is the only reason we stayed).Good grief... whaaaaat a disappointing meal.

I've been eating here for years and have yet to have a bad meal. Friendly wait staff, great food and awesome prices.

Great food for the price

I really do not like to leave a bad review especially in the time of virus. I had Kung Pao Chicken with shrimp added. Only a couple of shrimp. The chicken had an old taste. Mostly celery. About 6 peas. Maybe just an off night for them. My son got General Tso’s and it left a greasy film in his mouth. However, it had good flavor. Hope they make it. You have to be on top of your game these days.

If you want an excellent meal with a lot of variety then the China star is the place to go! Full menu of authentic food, in my personal opinion the wontons were fantastic. I have always had excellent service and very fast as well. There is a beer and wine selection and the good old soda poo as well! Definitely worth stopping by for a bite to eat!

Chinese food was what we both wanted and the China Star had everything to meet this need. Good food and the tea warmed us up on a cold night. Good service also.

Clean,friendly , professional, fast service . Food is excellent. . Parking is great and close to restaurant. You also may order by phone and pick up.

My wife couldn't chew the seafood in her dish. The pork tasted oily. Nice ppl, but we won't go back.The restrooms are clean and appear to be recently remodeled, but the main dining room is old and worn.

The only Chinese restaurant in Hermantown that delivers without food dudes. Their food is better than average most times, delivery is quick and friendly. I would just like a fresh egg roll each time, not egg rolls you fry earlier in the day and then re fry when you send them out. It makes them greasy and gross.

The server was great... the food arrived quickly and it was reasonably priced for the lunch menu. However it just didn't taste very good. The portion was huge so I took the leftovers home but wont eat the rice or egg roll.

The staff are really nice, and the food is decent. There are a lot of flies there, and it's hard to enjoy a meal when you have to swat flies.

Good portions like everyone else is saying but the food isn’t anything spectacular. We had another little issue that I had a question about and couldn’t get through on their land line at all. There has been a busy tone for hours. I know they’re busy especially at such an unconventional time like this but it still is a little irritating. Overall I’m giving two stars. also, don’t forget to grab a copy of your receipt.
